Who We Are

Our Foundation's Story

Madad Minar Foundation isn’t just an NGO — it’s a family for the forgotten. Founded in 2021 by Irshad and Dheeraj, inspired by their family's legacy of service, we offer free medical aid to cancer patients, emotional care for the mentally ill, and urgent help to those in need. Our mission: no one should face illness, loneliness, or poverty alone.

Our journey began with helping cancer patients access the treatment they so desperately needed, often with no family or financial support. Over time, our reach expanded to cover eye surgeries, emergency medical aid, and mental health support. We aim to build a free cancer hospital and mental health facility.

Our Mission

The Heart Behind Our Work

To provide comprehensive, free healthcare to underserved communities, focusing on cancer treatment, mental health, and holistic care. We strive to offer shelter, food, and emotional support to those abandoned by their families. At the heart of our mission is a vision for a future where healthcare is accessible to all, regardless of their background or income.

Our founder’s journey from personal loss to service has shaped Madad Minar into what it is today. Every day, we serve those who have been forgotten cancer patients in need of urgent care, families with no means to pay for treatment, and individuals facing mental health crises. No one should ever have to feel alone in their fight for life. That’s why we’re here, standing by them, fighting with them.

The Madad Minar Story

The Spirit That Guides Us

It all began with a vision that came from within a family. Irshad and Dheeraj, deeply affected by the pain they saw in their community, decided to take action. They were inspired by their father and elder brother, both social activists who made service to others a lifelong mission. The brothers began with small acts of kindness — providing food, blood, and shelter to those in need. But soon, their mission grew. They started helping cancer patients, those suffering from mental health issues, and anyone who was abandoned by their loved ones.

The name “Madad Minar” means "Tower of Help," and it’s a fitting reflection of our foundation’s goal — to become a towering support system for those in need. From humble beginnings in 2021, we’ve made strides in becoming a beacon of hope for countless people who would have otherwise been left to fend for themselves.

Meet the People Behind the Work

Madad Minar Foundation was not born in boardrooms it was born beside hospital beds, on railway platforms, and in late-night emergency wards. Our founders didn’t just see suffering they stood inside it, again and again, until standing with the helpless became their life’s work. These are the people who believe that presence is the highest form of service and that no one deserves to be forgotten.

Irshad Qureshi
Founder

“This began with who stays back with the patient after everyone else leaves?”

Irshad started Madad Minar Foundation after witnessing the silent suffering of abandoned patients — people battling cancer, trauma, and mental illness without a family member in sight. With a heart shaped by real-life pain and service, he turned helplessness into action. Today, he leads with quiet strength, staying by every patient not just during treatment.

Dheeraj Singh
Secretary

“We didn’t plan to build an organisation. We simply couldn’t look away.”

Dheeraj joined the mission as a co-founder, deeply moved by stories of patients who were dying not from disease, but from neglect. With a background rooted in service and an eye for logistics, he helps run the most critical side of the work — fast response, hospital admissions, emergency medicine, and the tireless effort it takes to help people who have no one else.

Y. Shravni Laxmi
Program Director
